  21.         For Version 2.1 quick Windows installation without reading MOONPO.DOC:
  22.  
  23.         If you do not have a diskette containing the individual (un-zipped)
  24.         files, then you must first "unzip" the MOONPOxxx.ZIP archive. Doing
  25.         that requires that you have a copy of PKWare's PKUNZIP utility. If
  26.         you do not have access to UNZIP.EXE, it can be found on most bulletin
  27.         boards.
  28.  
  29.         Please note: Execution of MOONPO requires that the computer be
  30.         equipped with at least and 80286 cpu and an 80x87 math coprocessor
  31.         or equivalent (80486 for example).

  33.         Sample MOONPO Installation Procedure
  34.  
  35.         This example assumes the following:
  36.         A) Your base Windows directory is C:\WINDOWS.
  37.         B) You will place MYLOCALE.INI, GSW.EXE and GSWDLL.DLL
  38.            in C:\WINDOWS, and all other files in a new directory called
  39.            MOONPO on drive D:.
  40.         C) The (de-archived) MOONPO files are on a diskette in diskette
  41.            drive B:
  42.         D) The installation will be done from DOS or a DOS Window, and that
  43.            your DOS "prompt" appears as C:\>
  44.  
  45.         Note: in the following example the term <CR> means that you press the
  46.               "RETURN" or "ENTER" key.

  48.         1) Create the MOONPO directory:
  49.  
  50.            C:\> MKDIR D:\MOONPO <CR>
  51.  
  52.         2) Copy files:

  54.            C:\> Copy B:\MYLOCALE.INI C:\WINDOWS <CR>
  55.            C:\> Copy B:\GSW*.*  C:\WINDOWS <CR>

  64.         3) Running or Preparing to Run MOONPO:
  65.  
  66.         METHOD 1: a) Click on the Program Manager's "File" option and
  67.                      select "Run".
  68.                   b) Enter D:\MOONPO\MOONPO.EXE and <CR>.
  69.  
  70.         METHOD 2: (add MOONPO to an existing group of applications)
  71.                   a) Click on (or TAB to) the title bar of the desired
  72.                      group.
  73.                   b) Select the Program Manager's "File" option, and then
  74.                      "New".
  75.                   c) Select "Program Item".
  76.                   d)   i) For the "Description" enter: MOONPO
  77.                       ii) For the "Command Line" enter:
  78.                           D:\MOONPO\MOONPO.EXE
  79.                      iii) For "Working directory" enter: D:\MOONPO
  80.                       iv) Select "OK".

  82.         If all is well, then the MOONPO icon will appear in the program
  83.         group box and you can start MOONPO by clicking on that icon.
  84.  
  85.         If all is NOT well, be sure that MOONPO.EXE is actually where
  86.         you said it was. If it is, and it still will not run, pray for
  87.         help from a friend. If GSW.EXE or GSWDLL.DLL can't be found, it
  88.         probably means that they (for some obscure reason) were not found
  89.         in any directory listed in your AUTOEXEC.BAT's PATH=... statement.

  92.         Before running MOONPO, you will probably want to customize it for
  93.         your geographical location. There are two ways to do that:
  94.  
  95.         1) Edit the MYLOCALE.INI file to reflect your longitude, latitude and
  96.            time zone before starting the MOONPO application.
  97.  
  98.         2) Simply go ahead and run MOONPO and enter your location and time
  99.            zone via the "Observer Position" option under the "Control"
  100.            menu item found on the main MOONPO menu bar. Once you select
  101.            "OK" you will be asked if you wish to save the new data in the
  102.            MYLOCALE.INI file. Choosing "Yes" will save the customized
  103.            MYLOCALE.INI file.
  104.  
  105.         Consult "Help" on the main MOONPO menu bar for other brief hints.
  106.  
  107.         It MAY BE wise to read the MOONPO.DOC file, however. It contains
  108.         additional information.

  111.         If you will NEVER want to examine MOONPO's graphs, you can omit
  112.         copying of the "GSW..." files (or delete them later).
